Enchanting white embroidered cotton and lace late Victorian Christening gown. This delightful gown has narrow lace trimming the neck and sleeves with insertions of whitework embroidery and lace on the yoke. Coming up from the bottom of the skirt for 15.1/2", there are six alternating rows of whitework and lace insertions finishing off with a beautiful lace edged frill. Fastening at the back with two tiny buttons and measuring 38" long, 18" chest, 5.1/2" sleeves and 70" in circumference around the bottom. Dating from c1900 and in Excellent condition.
